Medical Microbiology
Medical microbiology is a branch of science that examines bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites that cause disease in humans. In the Microbiology Laboratory Department of our hospital, the above-mentioned microorganisms are examined with various methods and the cause of the disease is determined. These tests are mainly as follows: culture tests, bacteria identification tests, antibiotic susceptibility tests, antibiotic resistance researches, direct microscopic examinations, stained preparation examinations, search for parasite eggs in feces, antigen screening tests, antibody tests (serological tests), tuberculosis rapid culture and ARB staining, PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test, molecular diagnostic tests.
