Operating Theater

Our operating room provides 24-hour service for surgical procedures with 3 halls, anesthesiologist, anesthesia technician, operating nurse, sterilization unit. Our operating room is subject to continuous infection control. Our operating rooms are equipped with a special medical ventilation system (Laminar Flow) and hepafilters that prevent microorganisms and foreign substances from entering the room. Our operating room is continuously supported by generator and UPS systems against possible power cuts.

The operating room is on the 3rd floor of our hospital and has two sections, sterile and semi-sterile areas that can be entered with special clothes.

At the entrance to the operating room, special clothes and slippers are worn, and a cap and mask are worn to enter the operating room. Patients coming from the ward with a stretcher are taken from the patient entrance door by changing the sled. Patient owners are not allowed in the operating room.

Surgery services are provided in the operating room during working hours and emergency cases are provided 24 hours a day without interruption.

The patient whose surgery is over is taken to the wake-up room accompanied by an anesthesiologist and technician. The patient's vital functions are closely monitored and when we are sure that the patient's condition is normal (stable), he/she is sent to the clinic accompanied by a technician.

All samples and biopsy specimens taken during the operation are sent to the pathology laboratory by courier.

Records The names of the surgical team performing the surgery, consumables and medical supplies used in the surgical procedure, medications are entered into the computer records. Detailed notes about the operation are written and kept both in the operation book and computer records.
